New year, new tunes, er... that's it really

2020 was a drag but somehow in all the lack of chaos we managed to finish writing new material and get it recorded. We went into Rain City Studio last September where the dulcet tones of Gav repeating the immortal words "that was shit, do it again" rang a constant until we reached happy levels, it wasn't all happy, it was downright infuriating and frustrating at times but when is it not? overall it was a good experience though and we have an awesome set of tunes to show for it. The new EP will be released through  Lickerish Records  however if there are any other D.I.Y. labels or distros who might be interested in helping out with the release please get in touch for more info. Come the new year we released our first song from the EP "Bastardised" and you can see the video here including all the usual streaming links below Bandcamp Spotify Apple Music Amazon iTunes

Current status: Alive and well.

What a boring year, extremely rare in the gig department, social life practically zero, However, we do have a new ep due out, with a new video single after completing most of our recordings with Gav at Rain City Studio in Swinton a short while ago, We'll keep you up go date with all that as and when. The good news is that everyone we know and love are safe and well and fuck everything else as that is all that matters. Laters taters

Another slow start to the year, nothing till the 22nd of Feb in Warrington, We have been busy though, Rob has been working hard on getting his vocals and lyrics ready, Sty on bass is flying and we're all looking forward to be doing gigs again. With Sty in now we find we have a media department rather than the occasional weird arsed picture i put up so keep a look out for any snippets and videos that get put up on our Facebook page. We're also working hard on new material, it's nice to be creating again, we feel like we've just been putting it off for too long, we were originally going to release an EP but we're well past that now and we don't go into the studio until September so a full length it is, with maybe an EP out before then as well, hopefully, now that i see it in print i really want that to happen 😊 That's all there is news wise, time to gig, write music, record and have another fun year, wherever that may be, see you there 👍 Sty show

And that was that

The last gig came and went like any other but this time something was different, after the load in of all the gear back at the room we said our usual good byes and this one was difficult and almost awkward but our farewell to Paul on his being part of a band was over, we'd all like to say we didn't feel emotional cos we're menly men but that's bollocks, i'd been dreading that moment and that feeling all year. Our next practice will be with a different lineup and since we've been jamming with the new lineup it won't feel too bad, especially when we get playing but make no mistake, there will be many fond stories and memories spoken of our adventures together with Paul for some time to come and after 12 years there are a lot of great ones, but now it's time to put all that aside and push on to new things. Thanks Paul, for being a friend first and foremost, thank you for being family to us and thank you for all the great times we've had travelling to so

Did you see that laser cut off Pauls fingers?

What a great night we had in Rhyl again last night, pissing rain and freezing cold winds kept some away but not all and we thank you all who made it for that. Last night was interesting, for the first time ever we played with 2 line-ups, the regular every day Eye Licker line-up that everyone has known for some time and Eye Licker 2020 with Rob on vocals and new guy Steve Sty Jones on bass, Welcome mate.  Sty (2nd from left in the image below) walked into the practice room with 5 of our songs in the bag and ready to go and we've been flying since, He played a blinder last night and as a hindsight, I wish we saved a few more to play at the end.   you can see a video of the song here
